Emergency Alert System Test

The government will be testing an alert on our phones on Sunday 7th September at 3:00pm

If you or someone you know has a concealed device due to some sort of safeguarding or domestic abuse, please consider turning off your mobile phone to eliminate any risk of the mobile being detected.

·      The alert will emit a loud siren like sound even if your phone is on silent

·      It will last for around 10 seconds

·      The alert will also vibrate and may read out the message aloud

If you would like to opt out of receiving the alert, open your mobile calling pad and enter

Alternatively, you can look in your settings for emergency alerts and turn off test alerts
